This chapter explains how to create a JAPACAR buyer account, sign in, and reach the main buyer menus (Deals, My Account, Notifications). Use a stable email you can access—verification and deal-related messages are sent there.

Language / region The buyer interface is primarily in English. If you use translation extensions, confirm critical fields (email, consignee, bank-related notices) in the original English when something looks unclear.
Security Keep your sign-in email private — anyone who can read your inbox can request a sign-in code. If you use a shared PC, sign out when finished (Logout in the account menu).

Step 1: Open the registration page

From any page, open Sign Up Free (or go directly to /register). Enter your name and email — that's all you need. No password is required.

We sign you in by emailing a one-time code, so make sure you enter an email inbox you can actually open. Follow the message shown on screen or the email from JAPACAR.

  1. Open the registration screen.
  2. Enter your name and email (or use the offered social sign-up if available).
  3. Submit — no password to create.
  4. When registration succeeds, you're signed in or taken to the sign-in screen.

Step 2: Sign in (no password needed)

Open /login. Enter the same email address you used at registration, then choose "Email me a sign-in code". We send a 6-digit code to your inbox — enter it on the next screen to sign in. No password is required.

The code expires after a few minutes. If you set a password in the past, you can still use "Use a password instead" under the form.

Code didn't arrive No password needed — just enter your email again and request a new code. If it still doesn't arrive, check spam/junk and that your mailbox accepts mail from JAPACAR.
Code expired or won't work Each code is valid only a few minutes. Request a fresh code and enter the newest one. Make sure you're on the buyer login (not the seller/manager login URL).
Change your sign-in email Open My Account → Change sign-in email. We email a code to your current address and a confirmation link to the new one.

Step 3: First screen after sign-in

After a successful sign-in, you are taken to the buyer home area (often Deals or the top page). Use the header menu to open:

  • Deals — list of your quotes and transactions.
  • My Account — profile and consignee details used on invoices.
  • Notifications — updates about your deals.
  • Favorites — vehicles you saved.

Before requesting a quote or uploading payment proof, confirm that My Account has correct contact and consignee information where the form asks for it—this reduces delays when documents are issued. You can also change your sign-in email here at any time.
